NORTH MELBOURNE’S GREEN HEART
North Melbourne has many open community spaces. There are pocket parks, off leash dog parks, parks with kid’s playgrounds and of course the famous Arden Street oval, home of the mighty Kangaroos. In fact, the City of Melbourne recently identified nine individual parks, road verges and small green nooks within the suburb’s street network to be upgraded, planted, improved or expanded adding a significant amount of green open space. Much of this work has now been completed.
LIVE BENEATH THE GREEN
In keeping with North Melbourne’s green ethos, Arden Park has dedicated its rooftop to an exclusive parkland for residents. Centred around a large grassy open space it incorporates inbuilt timber sun lounges, park benches, barbeque pavilions and veggie plots. Perimeter planter boxes with a mixture of evergreen and deciduous trees provide shade on hot summer days and a changing colour palette throughout the seasons.
